Battery warranty
A vehicle-maker warranty that may cover specified battery defects or capacity loss under stated conditions.
A battery warranty is a promise from a vehicle manufacturer or other warrantor to address certain battery problems if the written conditions are met. It is separate from auto insurance and may have its own time, distance, capacity and maintenance requirements.
Warranty periods and capacity thresholds vary by vehicle, model year and jurisdiction. Use the warranty supplied for the exact vehicle rather than assuming a single threshold applies to every EV.
