Comprehensive coverage
A policy term whose scope varies by market; in many U.S. auto policies it refers to specified non-collision losses.
In many U.S. auto policies, comprehensive coverage refers to certain covered losses that are not caused by a collision, such as specified theft, fire or weather damage. It does not mean that every kind of loss is covered.
The same phrase can be used differently in other markets. Review the policy’s definitions, listed events, exclusions and limits instead of relying on the label alone.
